Groundwork is leading exercises for dogs and horses which enable the animal to override old patterns of movement and behaviour without the use of fear of force. The groundwork improves co-ordination, confidence, focus, self control, balance and co-operation. This is done over simple obstacles and with special equipment to fit the needs of the individual animal.
