I´m so very grateful that Daniela Zurr has elected to share her experiences of the TTEAM Method and ways it can be integrated into daily veterinary practice. Over the past 30 years I have been privileged to work with many veterinarians who applied some of the concepts and principles of the TTEAM in their daily veterinary practice.

TellingtonTTouch is a gentle form of bodywork based on the intention of “activating celluar function”. It is a form of language without words-a mode of communication that crosses the species barrier and results in a deeper understanding and trust between people and animals.

The TTEAM Method for animals has several goals:Improve behaviour, enhance Performance and well-beeing, and deepen the relationship between animals and their people. In addition, it has the effect of increasing an animal’s ability to learn, to focus and to cooperate.

Countless veterinarians have discovered that Tellington TTouches can be useful during treatment to reduce stress for the animals and for the veterinarian or vet technician and to “support the bodies’ ability to heal.” Veterinarians in many countries have found TTouch to be a useful aid for horses, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, all the small critters, farm animals, wild life and exotic animals to influence behaviour, enhance health, reduce stress, and support healing in the case of injury or illness.

The TTouch Philosophy is multi-faceted and has the effect of:

  • Enhancing an animal’s willingness and ability to learn without force
  • Releasing fear at the cellular level
  • Overriding instinctive flight or fight response by developing their intelligence=their “Ability to adapt to new situations” (Webster Dictionary definition).
